Mercy Housing and Human Development

“Building communities one home at a time”

Mercy Housing and Human Development is a 501 c (3) non-profit organization.  It is an ecumenical agency that not only helps families set financial goals to become first-time home buyers, but also offers after-purchase programs promoting home maintenance and continued financial stability.

Further, under MHHD’s Human Development directive, programs are being developed to assist with the needs of elderly people.  This segment of our area population includes many older persons who have been responsible with their funds, but who are now struggling because of the economy.

Mission Statement
By collaborating with other organizations whose missions and values are similar, MHHD utilizes integrated strategies to provide housing, community and economic development for low-income families in Mississippi.  Through research/analysis, advocacy, direct services and community organizing, we respond to contemporary needs.
